We specialize in advanced electronics, embedded systems, and high-performance hardware engineering that meet the most rigorous industry and military standards. With decades of expertise, we empower customers worldwide to innovate, operate securely, and achieve results in the most demanding environments.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in circuit design, PCB development, RF systems, and embedded hardware/software integration. The ideal candidate is a proven problem-solver with a track record of delivering rugged, compliant, and high-performance solutions across aerospace, defense, and medical applications. This role requires mastery of design tools, deep knowledge of industry standards, and hands-on expertise from prototyping to production.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development

  • Lead schematic capture, simulation, and design of analog, digital, mixed-signal, power, and RF circuits for mission-critical systems
  • Drive PCB design and layout (up to 24 layers) using Xpedition, Allegro, and Altium, in compliance with IPC, NASA, and MIL standards
  • Architect and implement FPGA-based solutions (Xilinx, Altera), including SoC development, programming, and verification
  • Design and test power converters (Buck, Boost), energy storage, and distribution systems for aerospace and defense platforms

Testing, Validation & Compliance

  • Develop and execute prototype testing procedures, characterization plans, and troubleshooting protocols for new devices
  • Perform root-cause analysis, EMI/EMC mitigation, and system ruggedness testing at component, system, and platform levels
  • Ensure compliance with MIL STD 1275, DO254, IPC, ISO9001, UL, IEC 60601, NEC, and NFPA standards
  • Lead optical, visual, and X-ray inspections for quality assurance and compliance

Cross-Functional Engineering & Integration

  • Collaborate with aerospace, medical, and defense teams to integrate solutions into complex platforms
  • Develop cable harnesses, routing, and electromechanical assemblies using Solid Edge and SolidWorks
  • Provide technical leadership in parts selection, trade-off analysis, and lifecycle management
  • Partner with stakeholders to align engineering design with program objectives, cost targets, and mission needs

Innovation & Technical Leadership

  • Champion new design approaches that improve system reliability, performance, and manufacturability
  • Mentor junior engineers in best practices for schematic capture, PCB design, FPGA programming, and EMI/EMC compliance
  • Lead technical investigations and deliver white papers, design documentation, and test reports for internal and external customers
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies in RF, AI/ML-enabled electronics, and advanced energy systems for application in next-generation designs

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain clearance and maintain
  • 15+ years of progressive engineering experience across aerospace, defense, telecommunications, robotics, and medical devices
  • Mastery of schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation tools (Altium, Xpedition, OrCAD, Allegro)
  • Proven track record designing compliant solutions under MIL, NASA, FAA, and IEC standards
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA, microcontrollers (ARM, PIC, AVR), and embedded C/VHDL development
  • Expertise in EMI/EMC design, detection, mitigation, and compliance testing
  • Strong programming foundation: LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, C, C++, and VHDL/Verilog
  • Experience leading end-to-end hardware development: concept, prototype, validation, production

Preferred

  • MS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • Prior experience in RADAR, aerospace battery systems, or high-speed fiber/RF communication equipment
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (FedRAMP, CMMC, NIST) and rugged product development for harsh environments
  • Demonstrated success in leading engineering teams and driving process improvements across the product lifecycle

Application Process

Interested candidates should submit:

  • A cover letter describing their technical expertise and prior project achievements
  • A detailed resume or CV highlighting relevant design and project experience
