Position Overview:

We are seeking three Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Software Developer Architects/System Engineering Advisors to support the Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC). These roles will involve assisting government personnel in assessing, developing, and integrating advanced AI-powered software solutions to enhance unmanned systems (UxS) capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Solution Assessment:

· Evaluate cutting-edge AI software solutions for integrating next-generation sensors and related technologies.

· Review applied research and scientific studies to advance NSW capabilities.

· Analyze and evaluate new technologies, systems, and subsystems.

· Assist in developing operational concepts and tactics to improve UxS and sensor capabilities.

Software Development Support:

· Design and develop software requirements, architectures, APIs, frameworks, and libraries for AI-based products.

· Evaluate front-end and back-end functionality of software releases to inform development.

· Maintain and guide the development of common libraries and tools.

· Formulate strategies for rapid prototyping of AI capabilities.

Technical Guidance:

· Provide technical guidance to data scientists, UX designers, cognitive scientists, developers, and testers.

· Document requirements and specifications, and review documentation provided by other teams and vendors.

· Optimize software designs and architectures to meet performance requirements.

· Stay informed on the latest AI system and software architectures and trends.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Develop operational concepts and tactics for improving UxS and sensor capabilities.

· Provide technical guidance for the integration of collaborative autonomy software and AI/ML at the tactical edge.

· Support government leads in developing technical documents, including architecture diagrams and design specifications.

Required Skills/Experience:

· Educational Background:

· Master’s Degree in an IT-related field (Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.) or 10+ years of relevant experience.

· Clearance Required: SECRET (Must be obtained prior to employment)

Technical Proficiency:

· Strong technical writing skills.

· Experience in developing, modifying, or integrating software at the enterprise level.

· Proficiency in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Machine

Learning Operations (MLOps) platforms.

· Experience with DevSecOps Pipelines.

· Knowledge of Agile Software Development.

Technical Skills:

· Experience with technologies such as Kubernetes, Computer Vision, Linux Kernel drivers, Software Defined Radio (SDR), API gateways, and various programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Rust, Java, CUDA).

· Knowledge of developing compilers, OAuth/SAML, and TLS/SSL.

Place of Performance:

· Work will be performed onsite at NAB Coronado, CA.

· Telework eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
